A living will is specifically designed to designate another to make end of life decisions for you. In some states it may be combined with a Power of Attorney for Health Care: in others, it is a separate document. If your child with a disability turns eighteen and does not require legal guardianship, he or she should consider a living will. Visit the Guardianship lesson for more information on living wills.
