Honor Military Children in April
April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to celebrate our children and youth, and recognize the sacrifices and contributions they make to our military community.
Many active-duty, National Guard and reserve members have children. The average child in an active-duty family will move six to nine times during a school career, and all military kids experience deployments and other aspects of military life.
This lifestyle teaches children to be strong, resilient and to value service. In fact, children in military families are twice as likely as their civilian counterparts to join the military as adults.
