What Do Travel Restrictions Mean for Military Families?
Current as of March 16, 2020
The Department of Defense restricted all domestic and overseas travel to limit the spread of coronavirus disease 2019. The department has taken this action to protect your health and well-being and to keep the military force effective and ready.
Travel restrictions outside the continental U.S.
Effective March 25, the Department of Defense issued a 60-day stop movement order for all official overseas travel. This order applies to foreign travel, permanent change of station moves, temporary duty and personal leave. It will also impact exercises, deployments, redeployments and other global force management activities.
