Taking Care of Our People Easing Uniform Costs and Improving Uniform Quality for the Enlisted Force

This fact sheet explains the Defense Department’s initiative to conduct a review to ensure that the standard-issue uniform clothing provided to the enlisted force is well-made, reliable and performs as expected. The review will also determine if the annual cash clothing replacement allowance paid to enlisted members is sufficient.
