Strengthen your relationship with fun-filled resources and getaways
Your Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program offers lots of ways to relax, have fun and connect with each other. In addition to financial deals and benefits, the program also is a great resource to connect you to fitness, aquatics and sports programs, or bowling, golfing, riding or special-interest recreation programs and area resources.
You can also discover what’s beyond your community by visiting the DOD MWR Libraries. It’s a free, online resource for service members and their families. You’ll find e-books and audiobooks on many topics, as well as databases and reference manuals that can help you learn a new skill, keep kids engaged and serve as a homework source, or prepare you to land your next job.

Struggling family members: If your children or your family are struggling, you’re not alone. There is a lot you can do to build your family’s resilience. In its publication, “The Road to Resilience,” the American Psychological Association recommends 10 ways to become more resilient when dealing with stress or adversity.
Resilience training and support: OurRelationship is a flexible, online, evidence-based tool that gives military couples the choice to work on their own or with a coach to strengthen their relationship. It is tailored to the military community and free for active-duty, Guard and reserve couples. Choose which core issues to focus on, including common challenges such as communication and conflict, emotional distance and love or trust. Couples complete the online activities together or separately from anywhere, making it ideal for those separated because of deployment or other reasons. Boost your bond with OurRelationship in as little as four to six weeks.
