Ms. Conley is married to CSM Brunk W. Conley, retired, formerly the 10th Command Sergeant Major of the Army National Guard, while serving in the Oregon National Guard. CSM, retired and Mrs. Conley are from Sublimity, Oregon. They have five grown sons, Brunk, Nicholas, Jacob, Zachary, and Lucas and a granddaughter, Riley.

Ms. Conley is a certified elementary school teacher. She taught full time for 22 years and is currently substitute teaching in Oregon.

Ms. Conley has been a military spouse for over 34 years. She has been with her husband since his enlistment in 1982. She supported him while he was in a Special Operations Unit with many deployments. She has also supported him for over 18 years as a Citizen Soldier.

Ms. Conley is also a military parent, having one son currently in the Oregon National Guard. She and her family have experienced four deployments; CSM, retired, Conley to Iraq in 2004 and Afghanistan in 2006 and her sons, Captain Conley, to Iraq in 2009 and Specialist Conley, to Kuwait in 2014.

During the OIF and OEF deployments Ms. Conley became involved with the Oregon National Guard Family Programs. She became more involved when CSM, retired, Conley became the State CSM of Oregon in 2008. Being a teacher, she was very interested in how she could help children. She was a Host Committee member of United Though Reading while living in Washington, DC. This organization’s mission is to unite military families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud together. She was also instrumental in reestablishing a Senior ARNG NCO Spouses Group for the 50 states, 3 territories, and District of Columbia.
