Military Family Readiness Council

The Military Family Readiness Council is a Federal Advisory Council with the following objectives:

Review and make recommendations to the secretary of defense regarding Department of Defense military family readiness policy and plans

Monitor requirements for the support of military family readiness by the Department of Defense

Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the military family readiness programs and activities of the Department of Defense

The council is required to submit a report annually with their recommendations to the secretary of defense and the congressional defense committees.
