Information and support for service members and their families. About the Call Center.
Military Community and Family Policy announced today the launch of a new Media page on the Military OneSource website that aims to keep service members and their families, and members of the media informed about their latest initiatives, policies and programs.
“We are excited to feature our latest news all in one place,” said A.T. Johnston, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Military Community and Family Policy. “It is a valuable tool for our families, and we hope for members of the media and the general public who are interested in accurate and up-to-date information about Military Community and Family Policy programs, and how they enhance life for those serving in the military community.”
Military Community and Family Policy, also known as MC&FP, is the office of the Department of Defense directly responsible for establishing quality-of-life policies and programs that help our guardians of country, their families and survivors be well and mission ready.
MC&FP is home to many family readiness programs, such as Military OneSource and the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program. These programs offer a variety of free resources, and valuable tools and services service members and their families can access 24/7/365 from anywhere around the globe.
The new media page will feature news and information about MC&FP and its programs, including:
- Calendar of MC&FP events and observances that support service members and their families
- Media toolkits, including fact sheets, banners and social media content for MC&FP communications initiatives
- Information about MC&FP’s mission and the network of support available to service members and their families, as well as biographies of MC&FP leadership.
The programs within MC&FP include military and family readiness, child and youth services, recreation and education opportunities, career and transition support, and more. We help enhance the lives of our diverse force in all stages of life – connecting everyday needs of the 5.2 million service members and immediate family members to their best MilLife.
