Department of Defense Education Activity

Resource overview

The Department of Defense Education Activity, or DODEA, is a federally operated school system that is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Defense Department. DODEA operates 160 accredited schools in eight districts located in 11 foreign countries, seven states, Guam and Puerto Rico.
