Coast Guard Gold Star Program

The Coast Guard’s Gold Star Program provides long-term support to surviving families of Coast Guard members who die while on active duty.

It is designed to build a survivor community and has a growing mailing and communications list for news and invitations, planned events and services for gold star survivors. These include the issuance of Gold Star and Next of Kin Lapel Pins, Department of Homeland Security honorable service certificates and assistance obtaining casualty forms and other official military documentation to assist with ongoing VA benefits or answer outstanding questions.
