SpouseWorks Toolkit

Overview

SpouseWorks (formerly SECO) is a War Department program that helps military spouses grow skills, get career advice and find jobs.

This toolkit provides service providers, military leaders, partners and media outlets with key messaging, content and branding guidelines, resources and ready-to-use materials to help communicate the value of SpouseWorks to military spouses and others.

Key messaging

• SpouseWorks (formerly SECO) brings together trusted career and education support for military spouses in one connected experience — making it easier to grow skills, get career advice and find jobs.
• Through SpouseWorks, military spouses can access personalized career coaching, the SpouseWorks job board, scholarships, fellowships and employer partners in a more unified system designed to help them build and maintain meaningful, flexible careers wherever military life takes them.
• The Military Spouse Employer Partnership remains a flagship initiative of SpouseWorks and continues to connect military spouses with employer partners committed to recruiting, hiring, promoting and retaining military spouse talent.
• The SpouseWorks Scholarship (formerly MyCAA) continues to provide eligible military spouses with funding and support for education, training and professional credentials that support career growth.
• The SpouseWorks Fellowship (formerly the Career Accelerator) continues to offer military spouses opportunities to gain professional experience with host employers while building skills and expanding career pathways.
