Operation Purple® Programs

Operation Purple® Programs, sponsored by the National Military and Family Association, offers a variety of in-person and virtual camp and summer challenge experiences designed to help military families connect with each other and enhance well-being.

Operation Purple® Camp

Operation Purple® Camp offers military-connected children, youth and teens a free week of summer camp. These camps bring together MilKids ages 6-16 years from all ranks and services, including National Guard and reserve components, to a unique and memorable summer camp experience. Campers can engage and make friends with others who have a parent or guardian in the military and connect with counselors who understand the challenges military life can bring. The camps also provide the opportunity to reconnect as a family through fun, family-oriented activities in the outdoors.

Operation Purple® Summer Challenge

The Operation Purple® Summer Challenge is a free, virtual experience designed to connect and engage military-connected children, youth and teens from around the world. Throughout the eight-week program, participants pre-K through 8th grade take on new challenges each week — to read, draw, learn new skills, connect with family and community, and more.
