DoWEA, Department of War Education Activity

Overview

The Department of War Education Activity, or DoWEA, is a federally operated school system that is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the War Department. DoWEA operates 161 accredited schools in nine districts located in 11 foreign countries, seven states, Guam and Puerto Rico.
