Defense Department Education Programs

The education programs and resources listed below are administered through the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, Military Community and Family Policy/Educational Opportunities Directorate.

Partnership and Resources, a division of the Department of Defense Education Activity, provides resources, technical assistance and support for transitioning military children. The Defense Department and all of the services work with educators and administrators across the nation to provide quality education, engagement and empowerment for military-connected children worldwide.

The Education branch of DODEA offers a wealth of information on a variety of topics, including curriculum and instruction, education policy, professional development, student services and more.

National Defense Education Program provides monetary awards to education institutions to support the education, training and transition of students into STEM careers.
