Army PCS Moving Support

Temporary change of station guidance

If you have a temporary change of station, or TCS, coming up, it is recommended that you contact your local transportation office for help arranging your move. The office will be able to help you schedule your move and deal with the more complicated entitlements and accounting procedures that are typically associated with a normal permanent change of station, or PCS.

For more information about the Army Sustainment Command-funded TCS special storage (non-temporary storage), privately owned vehicle and temporary duty household goods entitlements and requirements for Department of Defense Transportation Offices, you can consult this guidance for requesting contingency operation funding.

Personally procured privately owned vehicle storage

If you are travelling overseas/making an OCONUS move and you are interested in arranging storage of your own privately owned vehicle, you will need to complete the Personally Procured Vehicle Storage Form and submit to your local transportation office. Reimbursements for self-arranged POV storage are limited to the government’s comparative cost.
