Then create an account by selecting one of the following sign-in options:

Create an account quickly and securely using your existing Google account — no need to create or remember a separate username and password.

Select “Continue with Google,” choose your Google account when prompted, and follow the steps to confirm access.

You may be asked to verify your identity, such as entering your Google password or completing two-step verification, depending on your settings. The first time you use a Google email to sign in, you’ll see a Google page asking for your consent to share personal information with Military OneSource.

Once you log in, you will be redirected to the website you were on. You’ll then be taken to the Role Selection screen, where you must select a role to complete the account creation process.

Create an account using your existing common access card, or CAC, or DOD-approved certificate — no need to create or remember a separate username and password.

Select “Continue with CAC or certificate” and your certificate when prompted. You may be asked to enter your certificate password or pin.

Supported certificates include DOD CAC cards, DOD-approved ECA certificates and government PIV cards.

Create an account using your existing DS Logon — no need to create or remember a separate username and password.

Select the “Continue with DS Logon” button, and the DS Logon page will open in a separate window.

On the DS Logon page, enter your DS Logon username and password.

Accessing your existing account

Access your active account quickly and securely using one of the following login options:

The email and password login option will be retired on Oct. 1, 2025. To simplify access to your account, select from the following sign-in methods:

  • Google
  • CAC or certificate
  • DS Logon
  • ID.me

If your Google, CAC or certificate, DS Logon or ID.me email address matches the email address that you’ve been using to log in to Military OneSource, EFMP & Me, MilLife Learning or Plan My Move, you’ll be logged in automatically.

If the email address associated with your account does not match your Google, CAC or certificate, DS Logon or ID.me email address, you’ll have two options:

  • Option 1: Recover your existing account by entering the email address associated with your current account. You’ll receive a six-character verification code by email to confirm your identity and connect your existing account to your new Google, CAC or certificate, DS Logon, or ID.me sign-in method.

If you recover your account, you’ll have access to all previous account information such as role, product order history, EFMP & Me checklists, Plan My Move checklists, MilLife Learning trainings, grades and enrollments.
  • Option 2: Create a new account using your Google, CAC or certificate, DS Logon or ID.me email address. With this option, your account will not be recovered, and you will not have access to previously saved account information.

If you log in using your email and password, you’ll be prompted to link a new sign-in method to your existing account.

If you do not link to a new sign-in method before the email and password login option is retired on Oct. 1, 2025, you’ll have to go through the account recovery process to access your saved information or create a new account.

If you’ve already linked your account to a new sign-in method, we recommend continuing to use the new sign-in method for a smoother, more secure login experience.

To log out, go to “My Account” at the top of the page and select “Log Out” from the drop-down menu. You can also select Log Out from the bottom of the page on the Military OneSource website.

If you do not manually log out of your account, you will be automatically logged out after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Adding more sign-in methods to your account

Connecting more than one sign-in method to your account provides greater access and convenience.

For example, if you originally signed up using your CAC, linking to another method — like your Google or ID.me account — allows you to log in from a personal or mobile device.

It also gives you a backup sign-in option in case one method, such as DS Logon, is temporarily unavailable.

To associate your CAC or certificate, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account with Google, DS Logon or ID.me. In the top right, select “My Account,” then “Account Settings,” and then “Sign-in Security.”
  2. In the Certificate section, click “Add.”
  3. You will be prompted to select your CAC or certificate. Select the appropriate certificate and select “OK.” You may need to enter your certificate password.
  4. You can confirm your CAC or certificate was added once the page refreshes. The information should appear in the grayed-out field.
  5. Next time you log in, you’ll be able to choose a single sign-in method, such as your CAC or certificate, without needing to sign in multiple ways.

To associate your Google, DS Logon, or ID.me account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account with Google, CAC or certificate, DS Logon or ID.me. In the top right, select “My Account,” then “Account Settings,” and then “Sign-in Security.”
  2. In the Connected Accounts section, select “Add account.”
  3. The Google, DS Logon or ID.me page will open. You may be prompted to enter your Google, DS Logon or ID.me username and password or provide consent.
  4. You can confirm your Google, DS Logon or ID.me was added once the page refreshes. An “Account linked” verification box will appear next to DS Logon and/or ID.me.
  5. Next time you log in, you’ll be able to choose a single sign-in method, such as Google, DS Logon or ID.me, without needing to sign in multiple ways.

Customizing your Military OneSource dashboard

Once you log in to your account from MilitaryOneSource.mil, “My Account” is displayed with drop-down options to manage your account settings.

As your military journey evolves, your position, location or contact information may change. To keep your information up to date, select “Account Settings” from the drop-down menu to update details like name, email, shipping address and phone number. You can also update your role at any time to make sure you’re seeing content that’s most relevant to you.

To further personalize your experience, select the “Customize” link in the “Resources and articles for you” section of your dashboard. You’ll be prompted to choose categories of interest based on your role, such as Deployment or Parenting.

Your selections will shape your dashboard to highlight tailored content like articles, resources and podcasts. You can update these preferences at any time as your interests and needs change.

Depending on which login method you use, you may have the ability to check your eligibility for Military OneSource support services, such as confidential counseling. Verification is done through the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System by asking you for the information associated with your DEERS record. Learn more about DEERS.

Assistance with DS Logon

DS Logon is short for DOD Self-Service Logon. It is a secure, self-service logon ID account created by the Defense Manpower Data Center as an identity credential that allows people affiliated with the Defense Department or the Department of Veterans Affairs access to several different websites using a single username and password.

To get a DS Logon account, you must be affiliated with the DOD or VA and listed in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, or DEERS, in one of the following roles: service members (active, Guard, reservist, retirees), veterans, eligible family members (over 18 years old), spouses (current and former with DOD benefits) or DOD civilians and contractors.

To sign up for a DS Logon account, visit the DS Logon website.

Military OneSource does not manage the DS Logon program. For technical issues and support with DS Logon, contact the DMDC Support Center at 800-368-3665.

Assistance with ID.me

Military OneSource partners with ID.me, a trusted technology provider of secure identity proofing and authentication, to provide identity verification for your Military OneSource account through ID.me. Other government websites, such as the IRS and VA websites, offer ID.me as their logon provider.

If you have issues with your ID.me account, contact the ID.me help center.

Tracking orderable products with your account

To check what products you ordered, log in to Military OneSource and then, under “My Account,” select “Order History.” For additional information, send a support request to Customer Support with the order number and your order questions.

If you recently recovered your account and set up a new sign-in method, your order history will be carried over to your updated account.

Additional account help

To address additional questions related to your account, submit a technical support request, and make sure to provide as much detail as possible about your specific issue. This will assist the technical team with troubleshooting. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
