Savings Deposit Program

Overview

The DOD Savings Deposit Program allows service members who are deployed to a combat zone or are receiving hostile fire/imminent danger pay to invest in their financial savings in an account that pays a higher rate of interest than traditional banks.

A minimum of $5.00 and a maximum of $10,000 in un-allotted current pay and allowances may be deposited to a Savings Deposit Program account. SDP Interest compounds monthly and is paid quarterly at a rate of 10% on balances of up to $10,000.
