2022 Domestic Violence Awareness Month Service Provider Toolkit
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Defense Department raises awareness by supporting and promoting a service-wide campaign.
The following resources will help you as service providers and leaders to:
Join the campaign
Download and share messaging and information from the 2022 Domestic Violence Awareness Month Messaging and Resources Guide.
Post messages from the 2022 Sample Social Media Posts on your social media pages.
- Raise awareness of domestic abuse
- Provide those affected by abuse with resources and safety tips
- Show family members and friends how to help their loved ones stay safe
The 2022 campaign, “Breaking the Silence” encourages the military community to unite together and speak up against domestic abuse. The campaign provides resources and information to help those in the military community recognize the signs of domestic abuse. It also lets victims know how they can get help.
