Air Force Transition Assistance Program

Overview

The Transition Assistance Program provides information and resources to ensure service members and their spouses are ready for the next chapter in their lives, whether it be pursuing education or finding a career. TAP is administered through the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Its mandatory components are applicable to all service members who have at least 180 continuous days or more on active duty, including the National Guard and reserve.

Where to get help

Service members can receive assistance with completing transition requirements by contacting the closest Airman and Family Readiness Center or Military and Family Readiness Center.
