The Coast Guard’s Transition Assistance Program prepares service members separating or retiring from the Coast Guard for civilian life. All eligible service members are required to complete the standardized components of the TAP, which are preparation counseling and a transition seminar covering a core curriculum of transition goals, plans and success.
