Suicide Prevention Courses
The courses below provide an overview of the resources and tools available for anyone exposed to a death by suicide — and for those helping service members who may be at risk for suicide. The information covered offers guidance and communication techniques for staying connected to a support system, as well as suicide prevention practices to help service members quickly get the assistance they need. Also discussed are ways to be better prepared if a loved one is going through a rough time or posts concerning messages online.

This course provides compassionate support and guidance to those exposed to a death by suicide. It covers communication techniques, ways to connect to or stay connected with a support system and offers reminders for how to maintain your physical and mental health during this difficult time.
Length: 45 minutes
This course helps service providers gain a greater awareness of the complicated nature of suicide, establish a rapport with and support suicide loss survivors, and offers tools to help protect them going forward.
Length: 2 hours
This online course includes video demonstrations and practice activities to help you discover how best to help service members who may be at risk for suicide.
Length: 6 hours
